Military Branch: United States Marine Corps
Location: Oregon
Build Completion: January 2017

After graduating from Liberty High School in 2008, Corporal Jed Morgan joined the Marines in 2009. On December 17, 2011, he married Anna Morgan and, three months later, was deployed to Afghanistan. On June 21, 2011, Jed was critically injured in an IED explosion in Afghanistan. As a result, he lost both of his legs. He sustained several other injuries, including a full loss of mobility in his dominant arm. Morgan spent the next 12 weeks at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he was honored with a Purple Heart for his service. He was then transferred to San Diego, California, for additional therapy and treatment.

On January 27, 2017, Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors and the White Heart Foundation provided a new custom-built, mortgage-free, accessible home for the Morgan family in Oregon.

Thanks to everyone who donated and participated in the home build, CPL Morgan and his family now live in a comfortable and safe home.
