This year’s Helping Heroes Night-Ops V Charity Golf Tournament was a tremendous success in helping to raise awareness and funds to continue to help build and remodel homes for wounded veterans.
The two-day event took place at Rustler’s Rooste and Arizona Grand Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona from Friday, May 16 – Saturday to May 17, 2014. From a heartfelt opening VIP dinner with celebrities and warriors to a day and night packed with a silent auction, prizes, anything but your average round of golf, and the longest Slip-n-Slide competition – this year’s event really took things to the next level of success. More importantly, what made this event so special were the close connections shared with all of the wounded warriors and military volunteers.
This year’s wounded warriors included: Army Sgt. 1st Class Cory Remsburg, Army Sgt. John Ricketts and Ssgt. Ken Champlin. Instead of just writing a blind check, participating sponsors and supporters really got to see first hand where their money was going and the lives they were directly impacting.
In addition to Jared Allen’s ongoing involvement, this year’s event also included contributions and onsite appearances by guest celebrities such as: Wee Man, Chris Pontius, Ernie Reyes, Charlie Johnson and Hollywood Yates, just to name a few.
With the continued success of events like Helping Heroes Night-Ops V Charity Golf Tournament, Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors is able to continue on its mission of providing financial assistance and support to injured United States military veterans by building accessible homes to suit their individual needs one wounded warrior at a time.
