Special Thanks to Honoring Sandrino’s Sacrifice Fund

Special thanks to Honoring Sandrino’s Sacrifice Fund for their support and generous donation to Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors (JAH4WW) in honor of Sgt. Alessandro Leonard Plutino.

On August 8th, 2011, Sgt. Alessandro Leonard Plutino, also known as Sandrino, was killed in action, while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. In August of 2006, he first enlisted in the United States Army from his hometown of Pitman, New Jersey. After completing the One Station Unit Training and graduating from the Basic Airborne Course in Fort Benning, Georgia, Plutino was assigned to the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program.

In February of 2007, Plutino graduated from the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program and was assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, where he served as a rifleman, grenadier, automatic rifleman, and a ranger team leader. He went on to serve three tours in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan with the Army Rangers.

Years later, Sgt. Alessandro Leonard Plutino continues to be loved, respected, and remembered by his family, friends, and band of brothers from the Army Rangers. To help honor the many sacrifices Plutino made, his band of brothers decided to give back to the special operations community and the town he called home through the Honoring Sandrino’s Sacrifice Fund.
